Scholarship

Mothers and Daughters Against Cancer is pleased to award scholarships to outstanding young women in metro Atlanta who have shown strong courage in their own personal fight against cancer.  An applicant must be a female cancer survivor who attends a private or public high school in one of the following Georgia counties or is in a state approved home school program within these school districts:

  • Cobb
  • Dekalb
  • Gwinnett
  • Fulton
  • Forsyth
  • Homeschooled Children

The scholarship is awarded to a female high school senior in the amount of $1,000.  Applicant selection will be based on strength of character, leadership and commitment to raising cancer awareness.

MADAC’s first college scholarship award of $1,000 was received by MADAC member and cancer survivor, Heather Emery.  Heather, a student at Emory University, is still successfully fighting Ewing’s Sarcoma.
